The Baby, The Boy, and The Man : Cycle of Sanctification
This work-in-progress serves as a visual meditation on the spiritual evolution of the soul, mapping the path from a "baby believer" to a mature disciple. Through a horizontal progression of a single life, we see the development of faith as an organic, living process. The journey begins with the infant on the left, who holds a simple pile of dark earth. This represents the raw, unrefined potential of a new life—the humble soil of the heart waiting for the Word of God to be planted.
At the center of the composition is "The Boy," representing the stage where the internal lesson begins. In his hands, a vibrant sprout emerges from the darkness, calling to mind the biblical promise that faith as small as a mustard seed holds the power to transform one’s entire reality. The boy is framed by a geometric, concentric halo—the "Overseer" and Father—who provides the divine light and nourishment necessary for this growth. With eyes closed in quiet reflection, he demonstrates a faith that is being strengthened from within, proving that even a tiny sprout, when sustained by the Father’s light, possesses the strength to endure.
The cycle finds its fulfillment in the man on the right, who sits in the shade of the mature Tree of Life. This tree is the physical manifestation of that original mustard seed, now fully realized and rooted in the promise of John 15:1, where Christ declares, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener." No longer striving to grow, the man rests in the completed work of grace, partaking in the fruit that represents the essence of the Holy Spirit. Here, the process of sanctification is made manifest: the believer is no longer just tending the sprout, but is grafted into the Vine itself, enjoying the peace and eternal life that comes from a soul fully matured in Christ.
