Emberlight : Isaiah 43:2
The stagnant air of the "Hollow" is finally displaced by a purifying heat. In this Emberlight, the forest—once a place of dark romanticism and ominous shadows—is surrendered to the flames. This is not a scene of destruction, but of illumination. The fire does not consume the couple; it reveals the spiritual reality of their environment.
Standing at the center of the inferno, the man and woman are a testament to the endurance of the human union. While the world around them is reduced to ash, they remain unaffected, their hands locked in a composed, shared strength. They do not gaze at the disaster or the specters watching from within the fire; they gaze into each other’s eyes, finding a private peace that the external trials cannot penetrate.
Those haunting, humanoid figures—spiritual apparitions that once sought to cause harm from the darkness—are now forced into the light. Trapped behind the wall of flames, they can only witness the one thing they cannot touch: a bond sanctified by fire. In the glow of the emberlight, what was once a site of trial becomes a stage for the miraculous, proving that when two souls stay hand in hand, the fire only burns away what was never meant to stay.
